Learning Outcomes

After completing this module, staff should be able to:
  • Identify the target changed behaviours for which benzodiazepines and other sedative medications are commonly prescribed in people living with dementia.
  • Recognise measurement tools used for assessing and monitoring target changed behaviours.
  • Identify practical strategies to support a person living with dementia.
