Communities of Practice provide ongoing support for workers who have received dementia education to achieve transformational change in dementia care by sharing knowledge and practice. This program is the perfect way to network with peers and build relationships that support members to share knowledge and lead improvements in practice. Engaging in a Community of practice provides workers with continued access to learning, coaching and development to be able to achieve improvements in their own practice. There is a significant need for having skilled dementia professionals who, with the necessary coaching and mentoring skills, can build the capacity in workers to provide the best possible dementia support and care. Engaging in monthly meetings provides the participants an opportunity to not only engage with inspiring guest speakers, but also provides networking opportunities and a safe space to engage in supportive discussions on how to effect practice change.
