This module explores the social needs of the person living with dementia and health professionals can support dignity and freedom of expression for the individual. The module presents information regarding legal considerations such as decision- making and capacity, driving and advanced care planning. The module also discusses legal considerations for health professionals in maintaining the personal safety of the person living with dementia. In addition, there is discussion aimed regarding sexuality and sexual expression in older people living with dementia.
