Advancing practice in the care of people with dementia: Module 2 – Risk factors and reducing the risk

This module describes the known risk factors for dementia and discusses risk mitigation strategies. Research indicates that there are nine major risk factors contributing to the development of dementia. In combination, these nine risk factors appear to contribute to approximately 35% of all dementia cases.
